Candid and Caring Parent and Co-Parent Coaching, and Couples Counselling

Lurline has post-graduate-level coursework in Couple and Family Therapy, as well as Gottman Couples Method, family systems, and family attachment models from Attachment-Focused Family Therapy. These therapeutic methods are designed to cultivate healthy and meaningful relationships, fostering improved connections with others and promoting personal and interpersonal insights that lead to understanding and compassion. Family counselling can be highly beneficial in addressing a range of issues, including separation or divorce, blended families, eldercare concerns, and general communication challenges within the family unit.

Parenting can be challenging, often influenced by your Child’s behavior and your own response patterns.

Difficulties within the parent-child relationship can disrupt attachment and bonding, leaving parents feeling frustrated and distant from their Child. However, with insights from neuroscience research, we can now better understand these patterns and apply specific strategies to promote reconnection and resolve them. As therapists who prioritize attachment, we have accumulated a wealth of parenting tools, strategies, and techniques through our work with numerous parents. Many parents have found that simply focusing on reestablishing a connection with their Child leads to significant improvements in behavior at home.

At Allius, counsellors are trained to use Prepare-Enrich and attachment-based models, to work with couples and families. We are skilled and trained to support parents whether they are parenting children apart or together by referencing evidence-based parenting practices from a neuroscience and developmentally sensitive lens.
